CoBrA GALLERY is pleased to announce the opening of its new space "CoBrA GALLERY@SuHe" on September 24, 2023. The first exhibition of the new space will be themed "By The River" and will be launched in chronological order, featuring representative works of several artists represented exclusively by CoBrA GALLERY in Greater China, and accompanied by several classic collectible designer furniture pieces.

"By The River" means that after a one-year preparation, CoBrA GALLERY restarts the road of life aesthetics in the new space beside the Suzhou River. As the first exhibition after the opening of the gallery's new space, CoBrA GALLERY chooses to create timelines from multiple dimensions through art and design carriers such as painting, sculpture, design furniture and medieval furniture, guiding viewers to perceive the evolution of history. In this exhibition, the earliest works date back to the 1930s just when the new space was built, and we travel through these works and historic buildings, talking to artists and designers across time.

In addition, through the theme of "By The River", we look back to bring the past and the future closer together. By folding the timeline, we will be able to travel back in time and experience how the aesthetics of life have been carried on through history. The artist shares his or her taste with us and completes the reshaping of "beauty" through the clues of time. We can see in this exhibition how they light up the aesthetics of walking slowly in time with their talent. At the same time, the classic ancient furniture created by a number of designers make history jump on the "materiality", restate its role as creator and witness in the linear continuation of time, and record the evolution and change of time with the historical and aesthetic value contained in them.
